On Wednesday, June 16th, I'm going behind bars for a great cause - the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Ventura Lock Up. I'm a jailbird for Jerry's Kids! The local chapter of the MDA has challenged me to raise $1,600 in bail money to support local families living with a neuromuscular disease.
$1,600 helps to sponsor an MDA family for one year by providing health care services like flu shots, clinic visits, and wheelchair repairs. This amount also helps me send one kid with a muscle wasting disease to a special week at MDA Summer Camp.
